Travel Vaccines and advice

Some travel vaccines attract a private charge.  Please do allow sufficient time for the vaccinations to take effect (this can be up to 9 weeks prior to travel).  Please tell the receptionist when calling that you require an appointment for travel advice and you will be asked to complete a travel form prior to your appointment.  If you book last minute holidays please make sure you are up to date with your immunisations otherwise you may not be adequately covered.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Central America Central Americaindia South America

china East Asiachina Australasia and Pacific

It is important to make an appointment as early as possible.  These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine.  Your appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.  This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
